We had a great day at the 127th Ashbourne Show on Saturday 18th August 2018.

Members of the public visiting our marquee were invited to vote for their favourite images which were on display and all taken by members of the Ashbourne & District Camera Club. We had over 200 voting forms with 3 marks for 1st choice, 2 marks for 2nd choice and 1 mark for 3rd choice.

The winning image with a massive 93 points was a stunning landscape entitled ‘Morning Sun Hits Bradley Wood’ by Frank Hobbs.

Other high-scoring images were ‘Snout’ by Bev Wareing – 78 marks, ‘Pulling Power’ by Hugh Stevenson – 57 marks, closely followed  ‘Crab’with 50 marks by Rosemary Gooch.Many thanks to all visitors who took time to view our images and cast their votes.

The annual picture quiz generated much interest from visitors of all ages once again this year and the winner was 9 year old Daisy Barnett – congratulations!
